A Strawberry Red Velvet Cake Mix when baked makes cakes that are soft, moist and delicious. Top it with a cream cheese frosting and you will love it.

EACH PACK CONTAINS:

  • Net Weight: 325 Grams of Cake Mix Powder.
  • After baking you get 1/2 kg cake or 12 slices of cake or 12 cupcakes (approx.)
  • Ingredients: Multi Grain Flour (Jowar, Barley, Whole Wheat, Corn Flour), Sugar, Strawberry Powder, Milk Powder, Natural Beetroot Powder, Baking Soda, Iodised Salt, Xanthan Gum, Vanilla Powder.

Pressure Cooker Method Method to bake the cake in a Pressure Cooker.
  1. To begin, measure the following ingredients and keep ready
    - 80 ml Oil or (or 80 grams softened unsalted butter)
    - 240 ml curd (1 cup curd)
  2. Tip: Use a measuring cup or weighing scale to get an accurate measurement
  3. Also ensure the curd is not sour.
  4. If you are using oil, use Sunflower oil or Canola oil. If you are using butter then use unsalted butter as the cake mixes have salt already.
  5. Grease and dust a round 7 inch or 8 inch round cake pan or a pressure cooker pan which you use for cooking rice or any round pan which will fit in your pressure cooker.
  6. Place a trivet and another steel vessel of 2 inches height over the trivet. You need to ensure he cake pan it is at least 2 to 2-1/2 inches from the base.
  7. You do not need to add any water, salt and sand at the bottom of the pressure cooker.
  8. Keep the gasket on the lid. Do not remove the gasket.
  9. Preheat the pressure cooker (covered) for 10 minutes on low to medium heat before placing the cake pan.
  10. Add the full packet of Archana's Kitchen Strawberry Velvet Cake Mix into a large mixing bowl along with oil and curd and beat well for 2 minutes until smooth and fluffy.
  11. Note: If you use store bought curd which is very thick, then you will need to add 2 to 3 tablespoons of water to make smooth batter
  12. The batter should be such that, it will drop like a smooth batter from the spoon when you lift it up.
  13. If the batter becomes too thick, then the cake will become dry. Ensure you have good smooth batter and not a super thick batter.
  14. Transfer the Strawberry Velvet Cake Mix batter into the greased cake pan.
  15. Place the pan with the Strawberry Velvet Cake Mix Batter into the pre heated Pressure Cooker.
  16. Cover the cooker without the weight and bake for 30 to 45 minutes or until a knife inserted inside comes out clean.
  17. Remove from the pressure cooker and cool the Strawberry Velvet Cake for 10 minutes. Remove the cake from the pan by sliding the sides of pan using a knife and invert into a board. You will have to do another inversion to another plate to keep the top of the cake facing up and then cut into slices.
  18. Enjoy Archana's Kitchen Strawberry Velvet Cake warm or refrigerate upto week and have it anytime. Serve it as a dessert along with some ice cream and whipped cream or simply as a snack along with a cup of milk, coffee or chai.

  6. Add the full packet of Archana's Kitchen Strawberry Velvet Cake Mix into a large mixing bowl along with oil and curd and beat well for 2 minutes until smooth and fluffy.
  7. Note: If you use store bought curd which is very thick, then you will need to add 2 to 3 tablespoons of water to make smooth batter
  8. The batter should be such that, it will drop like a smooth batter from the spoon when you lift it up.
  9. If the batter becomes too thick, then the cake will become dry. Ensure you have good smooth batter and not a super thick batter

  11. Preheat Heat oven to 160 C/ 180 C for 10 minutes.
  12. Place the pan with Strawberry Velvet Cake Mix batter into the centre rack of the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 45 minutes or until a knife inserted inside comes out clean.
  13. Note: Baking times differ from oven to oven, so please keep a watch on the cake as it is baking in the oven
  14. Remove the Strawberry Velvet cake from the oven and allow it to cool for 10 minutes. Remove the cake from the pan by sliding the sides of pan using a knife and invert into a board. You will have to do another inversion to another plate to keep the top of the cake facing up and then cut into slices

Using Microwave Oven Method to bake the cake in a Microwave Convection Oven.
  1. If you are baking the cake in the Microwave, ensure you have a microwave convection oven. You will have to place the cake pan on the glass rack of the microwave and not in the center rack or not on any stand. Smaller Microwave ovens smaller than 28 liters do not work very well for making cakes.They tend to be raw in the center and get burnt very fast. If you are in doubt, use the Pressure cooker for baking the cakes.
  2. To begin, measure the following ingredients and keep ready

    - 240 ml curd (1 cup curd)
  3. Tip: Use a measuring cup or weighing scale to get an accurate measurement
  4. Also ensure the curd is not sour.

  7. Place a low height stand in the Microwave Oven.
  8. Preheat the Microwave convection oven for 10 minutes at 150 C or 160 C
  9. Add the full packet of Archana's Kitchen Strawberry Velvet Cake Mix into a large mixing bowl along with lemon juice, oil and curd and beat well for 2 minutes until smooth and fluffy.
  10. Note: If you use store bought curd which is very thick, then you will need to add 2 to 3 tablespoons of water to make smooth batter
  11. The batter should be such that, it will drop like a smooth batter from the spoon when you lift it up.
  12. If the batter becomes too thick, then the cake will become dry. Ensure you have good smooth batter and not a super thick batter
  13. Transfer the Strawberry Velvet Cake Mix batter into the greased cake pan.
  14. Place the pan with the Strawberry Velvet Cake Mix Batter into the oven.
  15. Baking times can vary between 7 to 30 minutes based on microwave oven model and size.
  16. Monitor the cake while it is in the oven and bake until a knife inserted inside comes out clean.
    Note: Baking times differ from oven to oven, so please keep a watch on the cake as it is baking in the oven
